The French cable operator has equipped its all-IP facility in Paris with MPA1 Mix Dante audio monitors from TSL Products for Dante mixing
French cable TV channel operator Canal+, part of the Vivendi Group, has installed 23 MPA1 Mix Dante audio monitors from TSL Products for custom audio mixing within the IP-based workflow in its Paris Canal+ factory facility.
As part of the installation for the all-IP facility, Canal+ needed IP-capable mixing solutions for various technical production positions, particularly when the company has chosen to operate on the Dante platform for audio-over-IP (AoIP).
Jean-Marc Delage, project manager at Canal+, explained: “We chose to work on the Dante platform as it is the preferred audio networking solution, [and] it has been adopted by the world’s leading manufacturers. TSL Product’s Dante-enabled MPA1 units fit into our workflow as well as our budget, and offers quality for our custom mixes.”
Designed for operators to create a custom mix from a Dante stream, the MPA1 Mix Dante is equipped with a built-in Web server that enables users to remotely view the status and control the networked MPA1 monitors, allowing for quick fault finding and adjustment. The Web UI (user interface) also enables engineers to remotely configure and customise individual units and functions.
