| Opvision leads the way in fibre-optic transmission |
| Posted: July 2010 | ||||||
Opvision, a systems integrator in fibre-optic transmission, recently showcased its OPV series of optic-transmission systems,
including the OPV1300 series of digital video and 4/8 analogue audio fibre-optic transmission systems.The OPV1300 series provides transmission of one channel SDI or HD-SDI video and 4/8 channels analogue audio. The digital video signal complies with the standard of SMPTE-292M, SMPTE-295M, SMPTE-305M, SMPTE-310M or DVB-ASI, with data rates ranging between 19.4Mbps and 1.5Gbps. Adopting advanced digi-tal fibre-optic transmission technologies, OPV1300 devices can be installed rapidly without user adjustment, and can be operated and maintained readily. Other solutions include Opvision's NANA range of LCD racks. According to Opvision, the use of the latest industrial technology of TFT-LCD makes the video display clearer and smoother. CCFL (cold cathode fluorescent lamps) backlight compensation is employed in the system so that maximum brightness can be achieved. The NANA LCD monitors continue to receive regular enquiries from different regions and countries, says Galen Wei, CEO of Opvision, adding that the recent integration of fibre-optic transmission into the LCD monitoring system would make it even more convenient and popular to broadcasters. The unprecedented design makes it possible to carry out complete monitoring and transmitting tasks simultaneously through a single unit.
