Sony has launched the BVM-F series, further adding to its OLED range of monitors.
The introduction of the BVM-F series, said Sony, opens up the possibility of OLED technology to a wider range of applications — especially in dedicated master monitoring and editing in the broadcast industry. The BVM-F series consist of the 17-inch BVM-F170 and the 250-inch BVM-F250. Both models come with Sony Trimaster EL technology, providing the level of performance that allows users to access “the best that OLED technology has to offer”. In addition, the BVM-F series has full HD capability (1920x1080); an RGB 10-bit driver that supports a powerful 12-bit Professional Display Engine; multi-colour gamut and high-quality I/P conversion; low video delay; interlace mode; and HD frame capture and Pixel Zoom functions. Chris Grey, head of Broadcast and Content Creation Solutions, Professional Solutions Company (PSAP) at Sony Electronics Asia Pacific, said: “The new BVM-F OLED monitors enable us to offer the content creation industry the widest range of OLED products available on the market. The BVM-E, BVM-F and PVM series all bring unique features and advantages, allowing us to cater to all aspects of content creation, providing a complete family of OLED products that underlines our position as a market leader in OLED technology.” Earlier this year, Sony unveiled the BVM-E and PVM series of OLED monitors. The BVM-F series will be available from November 2011 in the Asia-Pacific.
