 Ensemble Designs’ 4500 MPEG Transport Stream Processor can translate DVB-ASI into SMPTE 310M, and vice versa, in broadcast applications. The transport stream pro-cessor makes it convenient and affordable for broadcasters to analyse important transport-stream elements such as PID (packet identifications), PAT (programme association table) and PMT (programme map table) to determine signal health, said Mondae Hott, director of sales for Ensemble Designs. Video and audio integrity is further assured with Ensemble Designs’ latest HD bypass protection switch. The new Avenue 7160, which is said to protect critical transmission broadcast and transmission feeds at an affordable price, checks for closed-caption data, TRS (timing reference signal), audio, and black and frozen video.
