| TeamCast gets ready for DVB-T2 |
| Posted: November 2011 | ||||||
As DVB-T2 continues to be deployed worldwide, the demand for QoS (quality of service) measurement systems is growing rapidly.
With its new RQX-1410 QoS measurement probe for DVB-T2 applications, TeamCast said it is bringing to broadcasters and network operators the “highest level” of RF signal-level measurement.The RQX-1410 allows for the independent measurement and monitoring of PLP (physical layer pipe) figures such as modulation parameters, IQ (in-phase quadrature) constellation diagram and transmission errors — by supporting per PLP IQ constellation displays, high level of modulation error ratio (MER) measurement, as well as output MPEG-TS (transport stream) over IP streaming. Emmanuel Raguet, product line manager of QoS products at TeamCast, commented: “The new RQX-1410 product will bring to network operators and broadcasters a fantastic tool to ensure a top-quality terrestrial DTV network. The RQX-1410 DVB-T2 QoS monitoring probe allows us to be one step ahead in this very promising market.” TeamCast has also released a modulator product range — MT2, which is dedicated to DVB-T2 and “DVB-T2-ready” DVB-T massive roll-out. The MT2 range includes the MT2-2000 and MT2-3000. According to TeamCast, the MT2-2000 is an integrated and cost-effective modulator designed for manufacturers who aim to develop DVB-T/T2 low-power transmission solutions. The MT2-3000, meanwhile, can be integrated within medium- and high-power transmitters, and consists of high-end digital OEM modulators that feature latest “state-of-the-art” digital adaptive pre-correction (DAP) circuits.
