ConneXxion Forum 2017
It’s key decision time for Asia-Pacific broadcasters in 2017. To catch up with evolving viewing habits, we need to create integrated viewing experiences of our TV offerings across different platforms.
Indeed, how can Asian broadcasters enhance the viewing experience and retain eyeballs without breaking the bank? Many have embraced IT and deployed OTT … and some are now seriously considering how to lower their Capex further by integrating IP into their overall workflow.
The feedback from our 2016 forum on “Empowering Broadcasters to Embrace IP” has been most encouraging and many are looking forward to learn more about software-driven networks and real-time video interfaces.
Thus, as a follow-up, the focus of APB’s 2017 forum will be “IP: A Proven Pathway to Resilient Future-Proof Workflow”, whereby the keynote speaker will be a broadcaster who has successfully embraced IP, reaping the many benefits in doing so. The ConneXxion Forum 2017 will also focus on how to secure and monetize content across multiple platforms — and it will include a visit to StarHub’s new headend whose backbone infrastructure is IP-based.
On top of this, forum participants will have a chance to sign up for a hands-on session at the Broadcast IP Inter-Op Lab that APB, together with Singapore Exhibition Services and Ideal Systems, will set up at BroadcastAsia2017 at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre from May 23-25.
