| SysMedia’s Plasma Gold goes Web-based |
SysMedia, a UK-based supplier of software solutions to the TV industry, will be launching a Web-based editor for Plasma Gold,
its multi-platform content management system. According to SysMedia, Plasma Gold is currently used by a host of international broadcasters, including ARD/RBB, BSkyB, RTE, StarHub and TVNZ, to manage value-added services carrying text and graphics-based information and advertising. The Plasma Gold is also able to deliver multi-platform output to teletext, digital TV (MHEG-5/MHP/Open TV), mobile Web and the Internet. A branded design can also be achieved quickly and easily by customisation of default layouts, while compelling page content, based on automatically updated news, sports and financial information pages, drives usage and brand loyalty, SysMedia points out. In addition, a story created for one output platform can be automatically reformatted for other suitable platforms, so users need only author once while having the story published multiple times. At this year’s show, SysMedia will also be launching the Windows 7-compliant Plasma 5 teletext content management system, which now includes a new Web-browser editor for creating teletext pages. Available in both fully featured and Lite versions, Plasma 5 can be used independently or integrated with SysMedia’s Plasma Gold platform to provide a digital-ready solution. SysMedia will be exhibiting at booth 4E2-07.
