2wcom showcasing digital satellite receiver

2wcom, a German-based supplier of professional broadcast products, will be showcasing its DSR01 digital satellite receiver at booth 8L2-04.

The 2wcom DSR series of DVB satellite receivers has been designed for radio applications, guaranteeing seamless audio and RDS data transmission. The DSR series decodes DVB-S and S2 with new high-efficiency codecs and formats, making it possible to deliver broadcast-quality audio in a 128Ksym channel. Featuring two sets of AES/EBU and balanced stereo audio outputs, the 1RU box can decode both sets in digital or analogue formats with a very short, stable and programmable delay. Control signals or data such as RDS or PAD can be output via serial ports or using the IP port to control up to eight different IP devices.

The DSR offers up to 8GB of professional-grade Flash storage for store and forward of satellite or IP-delivered audio, conditional access decryption and audio input and output via IP port. In addition, it features a Web interface to an advanced satellite audio, RF signal and RDS data monitoring system that can generate contact closures and selectable warning messages to be output via TCP SNMP, e-mail and serial ports.
