Kroma Telecom is introducing a whole range of new products at BroadcastAsia2009 at booth 7G3- 01. This equipment includes both the video monitoring and the talkback systems.

Along with its well-known SD/HD LM6000 video monitors, Kroma is also unveiling its SD/HD preview monitors, available in three models of 4, 5 and 9 inches.

The LM6504 and LM6505 monitors are provided with 4x4-inch and 3x5-inch 16:9 native high-resolution panels, featuring a wide range of inputs in a very compact solution (only 2RU high).

The LM6509, with 2x9-inch 16:9 native high-resolution screens (1024x600), features one DVI input, 2x SD/HD-SDI inputs with active loop-through and 2x composte inputs per screen, along with a long list of interesting functions such as PiP and audio de-embedder.

Kroma says it has been specially careful when selecting the screens in this new series: all of them feature top-viewing angles and max values of brightness and contrast ratio. The new preview monitors has LED backlight technology to ensure lower power consumption and accurate colour reproduction. 

Monitors of the new LM3000 series are also making their first appearance in Singapore. This new entry-level series, with screens of 8.4, 15 and 18 inches, are specifically designed for TV studios, OB vans and any other broadcast application in SD environments — although they have the same high-quality standards of the popular LM6000 series (the same top-performance TFT panels are indeed used in the new 3000 series).

They also feature PiP and audio monitoring, with analogue audio input and built-in speaker, along with interesting on-screen-display (OSD) functions, such as colour-temperature presets, markers and safe area and remote control.
