Sweden’s Net Insight has appointed Nera Telecommunications (NeraTel) as a reseller for the South-east Asian market where Net Insight is gearing up for expansion.

Under the non-exclusive agreement, NeraTel will distribute and actively promote Net Insight’s Nimbra solutions in the region. NeraTel is expected to position Net Insight's multi-service media transport products as part of turnkey solutions for IP and media applications for broadcasters and service providers.

"The Asian market is very important to us and we are delighted to see NeraTel teaming up with us to further extend our reach in the region, and enabling more competitive and comprehensive turnkey solutions," said Bengt Hellström, director Business Development APAC, Net Insight.

A solutions provider listed in the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading, NeraTel offers a range of products and services extending from transmission to satellite communications and info-communications. Based in Singapore, it covers the Asia-Pacific region through 12 offices.

Samuel Ang, president & CEO of Nera Telecommunications, said Net Insight’s Nimbra solutions are “a good complement to our existing product offering in the broadcast and media distribution markets”.
