Netia has paired its Netia Workflow Engine with its Radio-Assist 8 suite
of digital audio automation software to bring users even “greater efficiencies and functionality” across key broadcast workflow processes. Designed to facilitate exchanges between all applications in a broadcast environment, the Netia Workflow Engine gives users one graphical interface through which to automate processes involving Radio-Assist 8 and any third-party application. “Netia Workflow Engine makes it easy for media companies to visualize, create, and execute their own workflows. When deployed in conjunction with Radio-Assist 8, it enables users to tap into greater functionality through improved automation of key processes,” said Mustapha Rezzoug, Netia’s director of products. “Administrators can now simply rely on the NETIA Workflow Engine to provide easy workflow automation setup, execution, and status monitoring. The powerful combination of the NETIA Workflow Engine and Radio-Assist 8 allows media companies to do more with audio, video, text, and images – and to do so with greater efficiency, accuracy, and flexibility.” The Netia Workflow Engine is an open system that choreographs, visually represents, and then executes processes or workflows to provide a faster and more direct interface between Radio-Assist 8 and other applications. In managing these interfaces, the Netia Workflow Engine improves performance of tasks such as transcoding, audio extraction, speech-to-text transcription, archiving, and publishing in a transparent, highly automated process. In publishing, for example, the Netia Workflow Engine can automatically deliver content from Radio-Assist to the right distribution platforms (Internet, VoD, mobile devices, and IPTV) in the right formats – all with the press of a button. Likewise, the system can automate the movement of audio and video between Radio-Assist 8 and hierarchical storage management (HSM) systems, automate the sharing of push/pull content between different sites or platforms, or automate the ingest of incoming content from other sources and partners. The pairing of Radio-Assist 8 with the NETIA Workflow Engine empowers media groups to manage and share video, audio, images and text throughout their entities, optimising the overall life cycle of their content.
