| Wohler's AMP2-16V becomes more configurable with new features |

 Featuring dual 4.3-inch OLED displays, Wohler said its AMP2-16V is the industry’s first 16-channel audio/video
monitor to feature loudness monitoring with complete mixing and routing capabilities. The AMP2-16V offers simultaneous monitoring of 16 channels from 3G/HD/SD-SDI, AES, analogue or optical inputs. Its mixing and routing features create a complete mix environment for each installed output-capable module, providing full trim, pan and bus routing per channel, as well as the option to meter output levels on the main screen in addition to input levels. These capabilities, said Wohler, moves the AMP2-16V beyond the realm of simple monitoring and into a key role in the broadcast chain — often enabling facilities to eliminate simple mixing consoles and their associated costs and space requirements. With the operator in mind, Wohler recently announced major functional upgrades to the AMP2-16V, designed to make the system even more configurable. Highlights include support for SMPTE 2020, a menu lockout function that prevents unauthorised changes to the unit’s configuration, the ability to cycle through solo monitoring of defined clusters of audio channels at the press of a button, an optical SPDIF input option for monitoring the consumer’s set-top-box experience, and improved display of metadata and stream status information. To facilitate the additional information that can be displayed, the system gives operators free rein in using both screens as they wish, including the possibility of putting metering on one screen and status/metadata on the other.
