| Glee 3D movie uses GV Kayenne |
| Posted: August 2011 | ||||||
3D technology and production services firm Cameron-Pace Group (CPG) said it has used Grass Valley (GV)
switcher technology to create a live line cut (first pre-edit) of the live action-filled production of Glee Live! In Concert! for Twentieth Century Fox Television and Twentieth Century Fox Film’s co-production of the Glee: The 3D Concert Movie. CPG used a GV Kayenne video production centre switcher during the recording of the Glee production. GV also supported CPG with on-site technical training and full event support, to ensure that the production crew was fully up to speed on the Kayenne, newly introduced into the state-of-the-art, fully integrated CPG mobile workflow unit, Fusion 3D Mobile Unit One. Also included in the CPG mobile unit is a GV K2 Dyno replay system for multi-channel 3D playback. “We strive for the highest 3D quality in every production in order to tell the story in the best way possible, and the Kayenne gave us that for Glee,” said Vince Pace, co-chairman and CEO of Cameron-Pace Group. “Using the Grass Valley Kayenne during the recording of Glee: The 3D Concert Movie was simple and easy,” said Bruno Brunelle, 3D engineer of Cameron-Pace Group. “Kayenne gave us the tools needed to record the energy and flow of the live performance and bring to the ‘Gleeks’ (Glee fans) the rich 3D experience they have come to expect from CPG.”
