AJA appoints Asia-Pac sales representative
Posted: April 2009

ajaAJA Video Systems recently reorganised its sales and marketing team by hiring new managers and appointing sales representatives in Asia and Europe.

Eric Hamilton’s Pacific Portals has been appointed AJA’s exclusive manufacturer’s representative in the Asia-Pacific to oversee the resellers in the region.

Hamilton is a 15-year IT and broadcast industry veteran with experience in both the US and the Asia-Pacific region. He has worked with Apple and was responsible for leading the company's Professional Applications efforts in the Asia-Pacific from 2004 until recently.

Pacific Portals provides business management and marketing services for technology companies entering the Asia-Pacific region.

Overseeing the AJA’s European resellers will be Matthew Causon of Phosphor.

Pacific Portals and Phosphor will join the rest of AJA’s new sales and marketing teams, led by product marketing manager Bryce Button, who has been working on post production since the 1980s.

Paul Weiser, vice-president sales and marketing, AJA Video, said: “These best-of-breed solutions have led to significant growth in demand for our products, and with this exceptional new teams in place, we are optimally positioned to leverage the expanding sales opportunities arising from developing markets, regions and forthcoming new product categories.”

Most of the new staff and representatives have extensive experience in sales with other vendor companies, AJA stated.
