Yoshinori Imai recently stepped down as president of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU). He has also resigned as executive vice-president of Japan’s public broadcaster NHK.
In accordance with the statutes of the ABU, Datuk Ibrahim Yahaya, vice-president of the ABU and director-general of RTM Malaysia, became acting president until a new president is elected at the ABU general assembly this November.
