As MTV’s newly appointed VJ, Rich Herrera will co-host The MTV Show with VJ Holly, reporting weekly news with entertaining commentary and fun trivia as well as responding to viewers’ feedback and challenges posted on MTV Asia’s Facebook and Twitter sites.

Targeted at the young and the young-at-heart, the show is a satirical and irreverent chart countdown that pokes light-hearted fun at today’s pop culture that includes music videos, movies, celebrity gossips and the latest cultural trends.

VJ Rich is an American-Filipino host and sports enthusiast who was one-half of the victorious duo in 2010 Amazing Race Asia. Not shy of a challenge, MTV said he would inject the winning bravado and wry humour to the flagship show.

Movies, also a staple in youth entertainment and the latest blockbusters, will be previewed in The MTV Show, together with exclusive clips, interviews and behind-the-scenes footages. To extend MTV’s inter­action with the audience, the VJs invite them to post materials, from covers of favourite songs to movie reviews and opinions on hot topics of the week. They will respond on air to the messages or challenges posted on MTV Asia’s website (www.mtvasia.com), Facebook and Twitter.
