![]() The media walls, launched last month to commemorate the city-state’s Nation-al Day on August 9, were among the first in the mall belt to telecast the -National Day -Parade live to shoppers. Two 5m x 2.8m screens are located indoors on levels two and four of Discovery walk at the mall. The third, a massive 19.6mx11m outdoor screen -facing the road, is said to be the country’s largest outdoor media wall. Branded “OC TV”, the media walls stream content daily in a combination of commercials from the mall tenants as well as a special schedule of TV programmes developed for OC by MediaCorp. For content, the media company is offering tips on shopping, with dining, fashion and IT featuring prominently, while its Channel NewsAsia keeps shoppers abreast of breaking news. There are also plans for inter-active content, like allowing shoppers to send mobile text or even video messages for playout to screen. In addition, the screens will feature advertisements sold by MediaCorp’s newly-established OOH Media division. “This is a very exciting partnership with -MediaCorp. The specially-deve-loped OC content screened throughout the day on our media walls will certainly add another dimension to the mall’s unique ‘Center of New’ positioning, and provide an enhanced retail experience,” said Susan Leng, director, Retail Management, Retail Business Group, Far East Organization. Jessie Sng, senior vice-presi-dent for OOH Media, added: “We are indeed very happy to work with Orchard Central and look forward to making OC TV a compelling watch for the thousands of shoppers passing through Orchard Central daily. “We plan to inject fresh, rele-vant content onto the screens, leveraging its plethora of television, radio and print platforms. “Our collaboration with Orchard Central will strengthen MediaCorp’s position as Singapore’s leading media company, providing a one-stop advertising solution for our clients.”
