Apple has launched its iCloud, said to be a breakthrough set of free cloud services,
including iTunes in the Cloud, Photo Stream and Documents in the Cloud, that works seamlessly with Apple’s mobile and desktop devices to wirelessly store content in iCloud."iCloud is the easiest way to manage your content," said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice-president of Internet Software and Services. "You don’t have to think about syncing your devices, because it happens automatically and it is free." One of the iCloud's features is that it enables Apple’s iTunes in the Cloud users to automatically download new app purchases to all their devices, so they can buy an app on their iPad and find it waiting for them on their iPhone — no syncing required. iCloud Backup automatically and securely backs up important information to iCloud daily over Wi-Fi whenever the user's iOS device is connected to a power source. Once the Apple device is plugged in, everything is backed up quickly and efficiently. iCloud, available concurrently with iOS 5, Apple's mobile operating system, includes over 200 new features, among them the Notification Center, an innovative way to easily view and manage notifications in one place without interruption; iMessage, a new messaging service that lets users easily send text messages, photos and videos between all iOS 5 users; and Newsstand, a new way to purchase and organise news-paper and magazine subscriptions.
