| China Mobile uses Rohde and Schwarz CMW500 for TD-LTE testing |
| Posted: February 2012 | ||||||
Since the beginning of last year, China Mobile’s Research Institute has implemented TD-LTE tests networks in six major cities
in China: Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Xiamen. Time division LTE (TD-LTE) is the Chinese 4G mobile radio standard, poised to succeed TD-SCDMA, the Chinese 3G standard.For its continuing RF tests on user equipment for TD-LTE, China Mobile is using the Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) CMW500 wideband radio communications tester — a “reliable, extremely fast and highly flexible” wideband radio communications tester that supports all common wireless communications standards in a single box. The CMW500 also supports the CMMB mobile broadcast standard. According to Rohde & Schwarz, the CMW500 is the ideal solution for all phases in the development and production of chipsets and mobile wireless devices, as well as for lab tests by network operators.
